A New Era: Dynamic NFTs and Project Update

A New Era: Dynamic NFTs and Project Update

Dynamic NFTs (pNFTs i.e. programmable NFTs, as we call them) are the newest NFT standard on Few and Far and beyond. Our proprietary minting API built on NEAR is the first use-case of NFTs being about immutability and scarcity — but with flexibility baked in. And we’re executing it for the world’s biggest brands, by the way.

First, A New Era for NFTs

We’re here to tell you about what we’ve accomplished recently and give exciting updates to our community about what we’ve been up to. But first, the Few and Far Minting API now in production supports even more flexibility than ever before — ushering in a new era for NFTs. Let’s dig in.

Here’s some examples of what’s possible with our new technology before diving into some fun stuff we’ve been up to.

  • Speed to market
  • Cost savings
  • Royalty protection for contract owners
  • Dynamic NFTs
  • More creator control

Partnering With the World’s Most Beloved Brands

As some of you might know, NEAR has recently partnered with RECUR to make building on Web3 easy for Web3 brands. We’re now excited to announce that Few and Far has been granted exclusive marketplace access to RECUR’s IP on NEAR including beloved brans such as Star Trek, Hello Kitty, and Nickelodeon.

Few and Far continues to embed itself with major enterprise clients to launch innovative and break-through digital collectible experience — making it easier than ever for projects of all sizes to seamlessly build, scale, and integrate Web3 experiences into their existing products, marketing stack, videos games, and more. This marks the early stages of the opportunities at-hand for Few and Far to integrate enterprise-grade SaaS onto layer-1 blockchains like NEAR.

Keep on the look out for when RECUR’s digital collectibles launch on Few and Far’s Marketplace.

What Our Friends (i.e. Partners) Are Saying

Until today, we’ve mostly been known for our marketplace, and not many people know about our Minting API and the leading tooling we’ve built for 20+ projects. Our friends at NEAR Protocol built flexible contracts we took full advantage of to become pioneers in the NFT tooling space.

According to Altan Tutor, Partner Engineer at the NEAR Foundation, “Few and Far is helping projects build integrated NFT infrastructure at scale — reducing costs and increasing speed-to-market. With a simple-to-use REST API, brands and projects can focus less on blockchain development and more on front-end user experience.”

We’ve also been working close with the NEAR core blockchain engineers to get their layer-1 platform ready and helping test there smart conctracts.

Our partners leveraging our Minting API say it best: “The Few and Far API brought unprecedented convenience to our users. We now have full control over royalties, and our IP trades seamlessly across marketplaces — all with the same email or phone number used to create an account.” -DJ Brown, CEO, Dropt

Topping the Charts on NEAR

We’ve been climbing the charts recently, including owning the highest trading volume NFT collection on NEAR dubbed the ‘FnF Launch Club’ — the goal of the collection was to not only test the boundaries of our programmable NFT technology, but to also build a foundational community of NFT holders who will soon participate in next-generation digital collectible experiences such as earning rewards, playing ‘Quests,’ and more.

Check out our Google Analytics specs below for some real facts on how we’ve been crushing it.

According to awesome NEAR, Few and Far is also now ranked as the second biggest project in terms of transaction volume (humble brag!). Dig in some more on your own, but we’re super stoked.

Earlier this week, we also launched an exclusive NFT collection of stunning limited NFTs commemorating the Web3 gathering that’s happening in Hong Kong for blockchain week. Check out the collection here — the art is incredible, but not only that — this also lays the groundwork for us to further engage our community with quests, challenges, and prizes to ‘Collect-them-all’ and level up! A lot of exciting things to look forward to on both the Few and Far and NEAR ecosystem front.

Last, let’s get in the weeds.

Here’s an array of exciting new features from Few and Far and breakthrough developments our engineering team has been working relentlessly to deploy and deliver.

1. Digital Asset Reveal — Mint NFTs with an unrevealed asset (think: question mark graphic), and when you’re ready, update media for NFTs to point to their revealed graphics.

2. NFT Builder — Build-your-own NFTs are becoming increasingly popular, and our API makes it super easy to allow your users to build their NFT, providing the media and metadata at mint time. You could even allow NFT holders to trade attributes after mint — the sky’s the limit!

3. Profile Picture NFTs — Create a drop with 10,000 unique graphics that you have generated and want to mint randomly. Mint on your own site, on fewfar.com or via API. Easily manage whitelists, mint prices, and mint dates/times.

4. NFT Loyalty Programs — Track loyalty points on-chain, and update the NFT graphic when the owner hits milestones.

5. NFT Integrated Gaming — Allow players to level-up their NFTs or even trade attributes in your Web3 game!

6. Ticketing and Real-World Applications- Create event tickets that start out as QR codes and transform into a souvenir after the event.

7. Advanced Media Support — GIFs are now supported on fewfar.com, providing a richer experience for NFT creators and collectors.
